Claire Huangci, participant in this year's International Royal Cracow Piano Festival was semifinalist of the XVI International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. Of her performance in the second stage of the Competition Martha Hope wrote:
"The audience will buy Chopin only when the contractor have an idea for it (...) this American girl began nocturne, which sounded so subdued dynamics in a spiritual - is felt that the pianist thoughts on each sound. It is thought to dominate in its interpretations. In mazurkas have successfully found their natural rhythm and tone (especially in B-flat minor). In the Grand Polonaise in E flat major to prove that is not afraid of bold solutions, because the second part full of threats and pathos."
In the third stage (the semifinals) Claire Huangci performed: Sonata in B minor, Op. 35, Polonaise-fantasy in A flat major, Op. 61 and Sonata in B minor, Op. 58.
On the 26 October in Krakow in the tune performed by Claire Huangci we will be able to hear the Sonata in B flat minor and the Polonaise-Fantaisie, also ballads, mazurkas, etudes, and Waltz in F Major, Op. 34.

Sofya Gulyak received excellent reviews for her performance at this year's International Chopin Piano Festival in Duszniki-Zdroj. In "Ruch Muzyczny" is written:
"The Russian school is also inspired Sofya Gulyak, the next sensation of this year's Festival. Graduated from the conservatory in her hometown of Kazan, then studied in France and Italy. In September 2009, won First Prize and Gold Medal at the XVI International Competition in Leeds. In Duszniki she presented Rachmaninov ( Elegy in E flat minor, Prelude in C sharp minor op. 3, Etude-image of E flat minor op. 39 and Variations on a Theme of Corelli), Shostakovich (Prelude and Fugue in D flat major op. 87) and Scriabin and Prokofiev. She enthused technique: with feline agility, and precision but performs extremely difficult work of Russian artists. We also admired the sound: the noble, vivid, deep. It was an unforgettable recital, ended with three encores (played, among others Adagio from Oboe Concerto by Marcello in the transcription of Bach and Nocturne in F minor op. 55 by Chopin. "
We are waiting for similar impression in Krakow! 28th October in the auditorium of the Collegium Novum of the Jagiellonian University.
